The polluter of Paradise Cove

“It’s a joke,” Point Dume resident and lifelong Paradise Cove swimmer, surfer and diver Skylar Peak tells L.A. Weekly. “Dahlberg does whatever he wants to and he always gets away with it. I don’t understand why he can pollute our oceans and not have to pay a price that hurts. ... Fifty-four grand is a joke to this guy.”

Operation Amped Nov. 6 Malibu

Thanks to all of those that came down to support and volunteer teaching the boys from the Los Angeles VA how to surf and SUP. Props to Duke's Malibu for the food, Oran and John for the cooking, Freedy for the Mellow and good times. Great to see Randi coming out from Boston. Special thanks to Cooperfish for the $3,500 donation to the Adaptive Surfing program and the boys from Synergy Surf that made a board for Dirk Ortega. It is so rad to see how surfing is impacting disabled vets in a positive manner. One more step closer to surfing becoming an established adaptive therapy for the VA. Look forward to seeing you a the next event. Please visit Operation Amped...

Phone Scam and Upcoming Party for Revolution Vintage 11/20/09

Hi Friends,
This was recently sent to me by a Malibu resident requesting I blast it out. I normally do not send out stuff that is too random but this is a little different because I have a Granma here in Malibu a and similar thing happened in the past but we busted the people trying to scam her. Please take a look and forward the info to anyone you think will benefit from it.

Police Warn Public as Reports of the "Emergency" Cash Phone Scam Double

Police are warning the public to be vigilant against the “Emergency Scam,” also called the “Grandparent Scam,” in the wake of a significant increase in complaints filed with the Canadian Anti-Fraud Call Centre.

The typical scenario for this fraud is a grandparent receives a phone call from a con-artist claiming to be one of his or her grandchildren. The caller says they are in some kind of trouble – usually a car accident, trying to return from a foreign country, or they need funds to pay bail – and need money immediately. The caller specifically asks the victim to not contact other relatives because the caller doesn't want to “get in trouble” with other family members. Wanting to help their grandchild, the victim sends money electronically, usually through a form of money transfer.

Variations on the scam exist where the con-artist claims to be an old neighbor or friend of the family, etc.

The CAFCC (formerly called PhoneBusters) was established in 1993 and is jointly operated by the RCMP, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Competition Bureau Canada . The CAFCC is a national call centre where people can report fraud complaints and the information is used to assist in investigations. The CAFCC plays a key role in educating the public about specific fraudulent mass marketing and identity theft pitches. It also helps to prevent similar crimes from taking place in the future through its ability to identify emerging trends.

To report a fraud call 1-888-495-8501 or report online at

I know this is a bit Random for Sicky Dicky to be emailing out but please take note if you or someone you know may be effected.

On a better note. SDP will be hosting a store opening party for the new Revolution Vintage boutique women's clothing store in Cross Creek on Friday November 20th from 7-11pm. Please mark you calendars. More info to follow in the coming days.

Hope all is well!!!

Really Classy Girl

We have no idea who this girl is but last night Sicky Dicky had a party at the HideOut. This girl thought it would be a great idea to do the splits with no UNDERWEAR on in the middle of the dance floor. I guess this would have been funny once one twice, she did this like a thousand times. She really must have no idea what is on the floor. I would tell you more but you don't want to her it. Lets just saying she ended up helping clean up the trash on the floor.

Thanks Kim for the photos.

NO ON Prop8

Sicky Dicky Productions is all about Prop 8.
Proposition 8 was a California ballot proposition that changed the state Constitution to restrict the definition of marriage to a union between a man and a woman and eliminated the right of same-sex couples to marry. The vote was 52% to 48% in favor of the proposition.

The campaigns for and against Proposition 8 raised $35.8 million and $37.6 million, respectively, becoming the highest-funded campaign on any state ballot that day and surpassing every campaign in the country in spending except the presidential contest. The proponents argued for exclusively heterosexual marriage and claimed that failure to reverse a Supreme Court ruling from May 2008 that recognized a right of same-sex couples to marry would damage society, require changes to what was taught in schools about marriage, and threaten the free exercise of religion. The opponents argued that eliminating the rights of any Californian and mandating that one group of people be treated differently from everyone else was unfair and wrong.
